Islam: How to do smart, accurate coverage
Islam continues growing as a factor in American civic, cultural and political life. This is true as America diversifies and as Muslim organizations become higher profile and better at getting their stories out. Religion as well as other beat reporters need to provide accurate and nuanced coverage of this community. This half-day session will offer a quick look at basics about the faith but concentrate on growing civic participation by American Muslims. You'll get resources to help you do smart, accurate coverage, and there will be time for questions to the presenters in this interactive video workshop.
