Journalists
Arab women journalists are invited to take part in the Arab Women Journalists’ Conference through the Arab Women Media Center. Annual conferences address issues of regional and political concern to women in the media.
The Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association holds conferences and tele-conferences for journalists of Arab and Middle Eastern descent all over the world.
The Global Investigative Journalism Conference promotes good practice in investigative reporting among Swiss reporters and their international colleagues. The 2010 conference will be held April 22 – 25, 2010 in Geneva.
The Religion Communication Conference will be held in Chicago from April 7-10, 2010. The RCC is an interfaith forum, and brings together an estimated 1,200 communication professionals from around the world.
The World Editors Forum unites newsroom editors from all over the globe for educational conferences, special reports and debate on new media.
Scholars
The Asian Media Information and Communication Centre will hold its annual conference on June 21 – 23, 2010 in Singapore. The conference will involve journalism education associations from around the world, and will be followed by the International Communication Association Conference in the same venue June 23 – 26, 2010.
International Communication Association (ICA) is officially associated with the United Nations as a non-governmental academic association. More than 3,500 members in 65 countries participate in panels on media, religion and culture. The 2010 conference will be held in Singapore from June 22 – 26.
The 7th International Conference on Media, Religion and Culture will be held in Toronto from August 9 – 13, 2010, hosted by Joyce Smith of the School of Journalism at Ryerson University
American Academy of Religion (AAR) conference is held each November and focuses on Media, Religion and Culture. The 2010 conference will be held in Atlanta from October 30 – November 1.
The International Society for the Study of Religion, Nature and Culture holds an annual conference to promote critical inquiry into the relationships among human beings and their diverse cultures, environments, and religious beliefs and practices. The 2010 conference will be held from December 16 – 19 at Notre Dame University, Fremantle, Western Australia.
The World Journalism Education Congress will be held July 2010 in Grahamstown, South Africa to provide a discussion forum on the continuing development of journalism and journalism education worldwide.
